Hi Matti and Stina! I have been following you for a little bit more than year now, discovered the channel when I got my husky puppy, I was looking for tips on how to go camping in the nature with a dog and things like that. Now my dog is 1y6m old and we just finished our first little tour in France. It was a five day trip from Alençon to Mt St Michel, in total we did 190km. I was cycling and my dog could either run besides the bike, pull the bike or rest in a trailer. I thought it would be an easy trip as we would do between 25 and 46 km a day (which is not much for a bycicle ride), but it turned out quite difficult because managing a dog is not that easy hahahaha. I was not ready for the mental load and ended up quite stressed out. I was always asking myself : Am I asking to much of her? Is she happy to be "forced" to run forward for so long? Is it to hot? Is she drinking enough? Is she to tired? In the end I was worrying so much about the dog that I was not taking much care of myself. I was not drinking, eating nor sleeping enough which made everything more difficult. I wanted to be as lightweight as possible so I did not bring anything nice for me. The only sweets I had were protein bars (not very tasty), I had nothing nice planed for breakfeast, not even salt or oil to pimp up my pasta. But my dog had toys, treats and bones to chew. Things she was not interested in as she was to tired from running all day. I was wondering, how do you know what your dog needs? Such as the fact that one of them needs to eat more or that the other had a back problem? I thinks this trip I did helped me appreciate your work even more. Thank you very much for sharing your sleeding adventures and your overall experience.

Having just recently started looking at the Unna: For me it's the 5cm extra height compared to the Soulo, particularly for kayaking. Both Unna and Soulo have unnecessary features for this: Soulo is more sturdy than necessary with its many poles, Unna is too winter focused for a summer tent probably (but mesh inner makes it better). Niak is not fully freestanding, which I view as very desirable for such a tent.

Incorrect. You save money by transferring butane and propane from their specialized tanks directly into the camp stove cannister. You can also pump up the propane percentage a bit to greatly enhance cold weather performance. I perform these transfers and I winter camp well below freezing and I enjoy huge money savings and much better cold weather performance.

Do you know why the paint zippers are made to close by pulling down instead of pulling up? It's because if you're hunting or stalking an animal and you're crawling on your belly if the zipper opened by pulling up you might catch the zipper on a stick or something and the pocket would open unintentionally. By closing when pulling down the pocket won't open by accident when crawling on the belly.

:-) / Matti

Interesting. The new model of the Wiglo do not have a stove pipe exit possibility. The old version you presented can by the looks of it easily be used with a Lavvo wood stove. Have you used it with a stove?
